At Midland engineering, we deliver mechanically engineered fabrication and maintenance solutions for heavy industrial environments operating under ISO-certified management systems and CE-marking requirements. We specialise in the fabrication of mild steel and stainless steel components and assemblies, including structural steelwork, platforms, walkways, pipe supports, chutes, hoppers, guards, and bespoke engineered fabrications. All work is executed using approved materials and qualified procedures, with full consideration given to load cases, fatigue, corrosion, wear, and maintainability in demanding operating conditions.
Fabrication activities are carried out in accordance with applicable European and international standards, with controlled welding procedures, traceability of materials, and inspection regimes in place to support CE-marked structural steelwork where required. Dimensional control, weld quality, and surface preparation are managed to meet client specifications and operational requirements.
In addition to fabrication, we provide mechanical installation, plant maintenance, and repair services, supporting both planned shutdowns and reactive breakdowns. Our teams are experienced in working within live industrial facilities, operating under permit-to-work systems, method statements, and risk assessments typical of quarrying, cement production, and heavy manufacturing environments.
Steel Tanks & Pressure-Related Capability
Midland engineering has capabilities in the design, fabrication, and installation of steel tanks and pressure-related equipment. This scope includes atmospheric and low-pressure tanks, process vessels, and associated pipework systems, manufactured in carbon steel and stainless steel to recognised design codes and client specifications.
This capability is structured to support compliance with relevant directives and standards, including material certification, welding qualification, inspection and testing, and documentation required for regulated equipment used in industrial processes.
